Sirsi: Actor Prakash Rai’s tweet against MP Ananth Kumar Hegde has reached the police station.

On Jan 20th Prakash Rai had tweeted that MP Hegde had called dalits ‘dogs” when they were protesting against Hegde’s interpretation of constitution. Subash Mondoru, who was a former secretary of MP Hegde had lodged a complaint against Rai’s tweet at Sirsi police station on Jan 31st.

In his complaint he claims that on Jan19th MP Hegde spoke well about all communities at Bellari. He did not speak anything against dalits and never insulted them. He accuses Rai for twisting the content, making its inflammatory and giving scope to violence. His tweet has also hurt Subash who himself is a dalit. Therefore he requests the police to take stringent action against the actor.

The Complaint was tweeted by MP hedge on his wall on Feb17.
