Police file chargesheet against 7 accused in Thota Bengre Rape case

Mangaluru: Women’s police station here have filed chargesheet against seven accused in the gang rape of a woman at Thota Bengre near Tannirbhavi during November last year. Of the accused seven, 3 are minors.
A case was registered after the lady who had visited Thota Bengre with a male friend had been gang raped here. After detailed investigation the chargesheet was filed with the second additional district and sessions court by the womnes police station here.
The accused have been charged of gang rape, attacking and injuring the victim outraging the modesty of a woman, trespass and a few other sections of the IPC in the chargesheet.
