Police nab ganja peddler

Mangaluru: A cannabis peddler was arrested by the city crime branch (CCB) at the Toll Gate in Talapady on Saturday July 21st. The arrested has been identified as Keshava Sanil (47) resident of Krishnapura Katipalla.

Acting on a definite tip off, the police arrested the accused while he was attempting to smuggle ganja into the city at the Toll Gate in Talapady and seized 1,830kgs of Marijuana, a mobile phone and a Hundai Eon car from the accused. The net worth of the seized goods is estimated to be Rs. 2,85,500 lakhs.

Keshava Sanil has a history of criminal behavior and has been booked in 15 criminal cases including murder, attempt to murder, Indian Arms Act, drug peddling at different police stations in Mangaluru and at Karkala in Udupi district.
