Police nab Gantalkatte attack case accused

Moodbidri: The police have arrested an accused for attacking a restaurant owner in Gantalkatte on Friday October 26th. The arrested accused has been identified as Guruprasad (36), a resident of Surathkal.
Mr Imthiaz, proprietor of Badriya hotel in Gantalkatte has been conducting business for the last one year. on September 24, at around 6 pm in the evening, a man arrived in an Innova car and ordered 10 cups of tea. When Imthiaz went to the kitchen to prepare tea, the person who had placed the order for the tea and three of his accomplices attacked Imthiaz with machetes. However, Imthiaz managed to escape his assailants by running away.
Later, a police complaint was registered in this regard based on the statement of Ibrahim, who was present during the attack. Based on the complaint, the police arrested Guruprasad who was produced before the court which remanded the accused to five days of judicial custody.
