Police open fire at an accused while he tries to escape

Shivamogga: Police open fire when an accused tries to escape from them at Halavoor here.

It has been reported that the cops were bringing Asif, an abduction accused, from Davangere to Shivamogga when he attacked the cops with stones in a bid to escape.

This left three policemen were badly injured in this incident.

Police opened fire at him. He has been admitted to a hospital here and is said to be recovering.
