Police personnel attacked by thieves

Belthangady: A Policeman was attacked by a chain snatcher at Charmadi Ghat on Tuesday.

The injured has been identified as Javed Patel.

It has been reported that the police officer, received information on two thieves and was at Charmadi Ghat waiting for the thieves. When the two were caught by police, they attacked them and fleed from the spot.

The police personnel on patrol duty had got information that two thieves who had stolen a chain from near Banakal police station in Chikkamagaluru district were speeding through Charmadi ghat. The policemen began to wait for their arrival.
