Mangaluru: Months after banners renaming Pumpwell flyover, Nehru Maidan etc were put up at various places in the city, a flex renaming the Ladyhill circle as ‘Brahmashree Narayana Guru Circle’ was erected at the circle on Wednesday, September 23 evening.
This comes in the backdrop of MCC’s decision to put on hold its proposal to rename the Ladyhill Circle as Sri Narayana Guru Circle amid opposition from the public.
The erected flex was later pulled by the police.
Earlier yesterday, St Aloysious Institutions too expressed shock on renaming of the disputed road from Hampankatta through Light House till Ambedkar Circle as Mulky Sundarama Shetty Road in times of the pandemic.
