Police raid ladies bar, rescue 8 women

Mangaluru: Barke Police on Monday, March 25 evening raided the Golden Gate Bar in Saibeen Complex and rescued over eight women who had been forced into performing obscene dances at the ladies bar.

The raid was conducted following a complaint regarding obscene dance performances at the ladies bar. The operation was conducted in the leadership of police commissioner Sandeep Patil.

Apart from those rescued, the police also detained five persons for questioning. The owner of the ladies bar was not present at the time of the raid, informed a police official adding that a case will be registered against him.

Barke Police Station registered a case and investigations are on.
