Poll code in force; CM rushes back from inaugural function

Chikkaballapur: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who had come to Chikkaballapur city on Tuesday, returned without attending an inaugral program as the election date has been declared and the implicit rules has become effective quickly. 

The CM had come to Chikkaballapur for inaugurating the Kolar-Chikkaballapur Milk Union Limited (Kochimul) super dairy worked at a cost of Rs 160 crore at Nandi Cross, on Tuesday morning. He only went by the dairy and returned without attending the inaugural function. 

On hearing that the code was in compel quickly, the CM escaped the state car he was in and hitched a ride in MLA Dr K Sudhakar’s car. He called upon the Kochimul president and Kanajenahalli JD(S) pioneer K V Nagaraj who is surrendering and joining the Congress.
