Poor hygiene; DC raids shops near Panambur beach

Panambur: Dakshina Kannada DC Ravikumar on Sunday conducted surprise raids on shops near Panambur beach and raised serious concerns about cleanliness and sanitary practices.
On Sunday, DC Ravikumar inaugurated the beach cleaning drive held by the Journalists association along with the District Administration under the concept of Brand Mangaluru.
Later, he raided the shops near the beach and also shut down a few shops over poor cleanliness and unhygienic kitchen conditions.
Ravikumar ordered the officials of the concerned department to visit all the food shops in the vicinity and take appropriate action.
