Bengaluru: The much-awaited pan-India movie ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Cease Fire’ was supposed to be released on September 28. But for the last few days, there were speculations about the postponement of the release date. Hombale Films, on Wednesday, has officially confirmed that the film release has been postponed.

In a post on X (Formerly Twitter), Hombale Films wrote: “We deeply appreciate your unwavering support for #Salaar. With consideration, we must delay the original September 28 release due to unforeseen circumstances. Please understand this decision is made with care, as we’re committed to delivering an exceptional cinematic experience. Our team is working tirelessly to meet the highest standards.”

The team did not announce any new dates for the film release. “The new release date will be revealed in due course. Stay with us as we make the final touches on #SalaarCeaseFire and thank you for being a part of this incredible journey,” the post read.

Salaar, starring Prabhas and directed by Prashant Neel, has made a huge splash since the day it was announced. The teaser of the movie, which was released recently, has been a big hit.  The postponement of “Saalar”, has Prabhas’ die-hard fans disappointed.

Salaar also features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Tinnu Anand, and Sriya Reddy.

It is speculated that Salaar may book a Diwali release. But the film team is mum on this.
