Prakash Raj defamation case: BJP MP Pratap Simha sent to police custody

Bengaluru: Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha was remanded to police custody for defying court orders to appear personally in a defamation case filed against him by actor Prakash Raj.
Earlier the Court had issued a non-bailable warrant against Simha for failing to respond to the notices served on him and directed the Mysuru police commissioner to present him in the court. Accordingly, Simha was produced before the court on Friday which remanded him to police custody for a brief period.
The case pertains to defamatory remarks made by MP Pratap Simha against Prakash Raj in his twitter account.
