Ballari: Prakash Raj criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not answering the questions put forth by the actor’s ‘#JustAsking’ campaign. He said he would nevertheless continue his campaign of asking questions and urged the people of the country to do the same to ensure good governanace.

He accused the Prime Minister of only talking about corruption and not actually validating his promise of creating two crore jobs and eradicating the black money contained in foreign banks. He brought up the question of wide spread income tax raids and cash inavailability in ATMs after demonetisation. He also accused the BJP of flagging persons with a questionable reputation and arousing communal issues in their public meetings. He asked the Prime Minister to instead talk about the development that has resulted in his tenure.

Prakash Raj opined that demonetisation hit the people hard, leaving many unemployed and The Goods and Service Tax (GST) was just a ploy to loot the common man. He demanded that the details of the amount of black money curbed after demonetisation and the reason for conducting income tax raids be told to the people.

Mr. Raj clarified that he was not campaigning for the Congress or any other party, but that he just wanted to protect his country from communalisation through his ‘Just Asking’ movement. He said that his only purpose was to create awarenesss among the people in order to create a just society.
