Mutalik wrote a letter on Monday In stating that the mutts have immensely contributed to the Hindu religion. The media has highlighted the issues. It will be better if the issue could be discussed and resolved within the mutt premises.

Discussions in front of the media or at the court may worsen the situation. Let us not give room for opponents of Hindus to mock us.” he said.

“I pray to you, the venerable to respond to my request. I apologize to the heads of eight Maths. I am not an elder or intellectual to tell you. But this is only my prayer in the interest of Hindu religion,” he stated.
