Pregnant woman attacked by sloth bear

Ramanagar: Pregnant woman was attacked by a sloth bear today.
The incident took place at Chokkasandra village in Kanakapura, Ramanagara forest division.
The deceased has been identified as Suma (25) wife Praveen Kumar.
The incident occurred around 5.30 am today when she had gone out to answer nature’s call.
Officials confirmed it to be a bear attack after they found nail marks on her neck and ear.
Forest officers have confirmed that according to forest rules, the kin of the deceased would receive a compensation of Rs.5 Lakh.
