Preparations ongoing for arrival of Amit Shah in Dakshina Kannada on Feb 11

Puttur: Union Minister for Home and Co-operation Amit Shah will be visiting Dakshina Kannada district on February 11. This is Shah’s maiden visit to the district after becoming the Union Minister.
Shah will participate in several programs including a cooperative convention in Puttur.
The convention is being held at Puttur in connection with the golden jubilee celebrations of the central areca nut and cocoa marketing and processing co-operative limited (CAMPCO). The event will be held at the Vivekananda educational institution at Tenkila at 3 PM, CAMPCO said. He will also be visiting CAMPCO’s chocolate factory in Puttur.
As per the itinerary, Shah will arrive at Kannur by air and from there he will travel to Iswaramangala by helicopter and dedicate Bharat Mata Mandir at Hanumagiri to the public. Thereafter, he will attend the golden jubilee ceremony of CAMPCO. He will then attend a meeting of party leaders in Mangaluru.
Security has been tightened in preparation for the Union home minister’s arrival.
Traffic will be suspended on both sides of the Mani-Mysore National Highway in Puttur taluk, for at least one hour before Shah leaves for Puttur, after completing the Hanumagiri program. From 2 PM to 5.30 PM, vehicular traffic will be completely prohibited from Linet Junction to Mukrumpadi. Police said traffic diversions will be in place.
Shah’s roadshow in Mangaluru cancelled
Mangaluru/Surathkal: The roadshow from Kavoor to Baganangadi Maryhill, in which Amit Shah was scheduled to participate, has been canceled due to security reasons. at the last minute. Instead, preparations have been made to welcome Shah in a grand manner in Kenjar.
