President Ram Nath Kovind visits Talacauvery, offers prayers

Kodagu: President Ram Nath Kovind and First Lady Savita Koving arrived in Kodagu on Saturday, February 6, and was received at the helipad by Minister V Somanna, who is also the district in-charge Minister.

The President’s convoy left for Talacauvery, the birthplace of river Cauvery. He and his wife offered a special pooja at the temple and left for Madikeri.

In the evening, the President is scheduled to inaugurate ‘Sunny Side,’ a museum dedicated to the celebrated war hero late General Kodandera S Thimayya.

The security around General Thimayya Memorial Museum has been provided by the armed forces. Due to the president’s visit, the district administration has banned the entry of devotees to Talacauvery on February 5 and 6.
