Prestigious PaGo award conferred on Journalist Mithun R Kodethur

Mangaluru: Journalist Mithun R Kodethur, a reporter at Hosadigantha was felicitated with the prestigious ‘PaGo’ award for the year 2022.

The award, instituted in memory of P Gopalakrishna, for meritorious rural reporting is presented annually by the Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists’ Union (DKWJU).

DCP (law and order) Hariram Shankar conferred the award to Mithun R Kodethur at a function held at the press club on Tuesday, May 31.

Speaking on the occasion, DCP (law and order) Hariram Shankar hailed the contribution of P Sainath on rural reporting and asked journalists to write about the problems, positives and human interest stories of the rural areas.

Additional deputy commissioner Krishna Murthy, DKWJA president Srinivas Indaje, Jaganath Shetty Bala, Jithendra Kundeshwar and Anand Shetty were present at the event.
