Prime Minister Narendra Modi turns 74: Celebrations across India

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi turns 74 today, and his supporters and BJP workers across the country have organized numerous events to mark the occasion.

Free Auto Rides

In Surat, Gujarat, the hometown of the Prime Minister, auto-rickshaw drivers announced a fare discount ranging from 10% to 100%. On the eve of his birthday, the Surat Auto Drivers Association even offered free rides to passengers.

Discounts from Businessmen

More than 2,500 businessmen from various sectors in Surat are offering discounts to their customers in honor of Modi’s birthday. This includes hotels, vegetable markets, private hospitals, and bakeries, where customers can avail discounts on products and food items.

Vegetarian Meal Distribution at Ajmer Dargah

At the famous Ajmer Sharif Dargah, a plan has been made to prepare and distribute 4 kg of vegetarian food to the poor, destitute, and homeless in celebration of the Prime Minister’s birthday.

Blood Donation Camps

The BJP Medical Cell has organized blood donation camps at Kisan Bhavan in Sector 22-D and Sector 24-C in Chandigarh. The camps will run from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Art Tribute with Millet

In Chennai, a 13-year-old girl has created a world record by crafting a protrait of PM Modi using 800 kg of millets. Presley Shekinah, a student at a private school, worked for 12 hours non-stop to create the artwork, covering 600 sq. ft. This achievement has been recognised in the UNICO World Record in the student achiever category.

Seva Parmodharma Campaign

The Rajasthan BJP unit has announced a ‘Seva Parmo Dharma’ (Service is Supreme Duty) campaign, which will run from September 17 to October 2. This includes daily activities like blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, and tree-planting events in different parts of the state.

Odisha’s Subhadra Scheme

On his birthday, Prime Minister Modi will launch the ‘Subhadra Scheme’ for women in Odisha. This scheme aims to provide Rs 50,000 over five years to women in the state. As part of the first installment, Rs 5,000 will be released to 1.30 crore women today. If BJP comes to power in Odisha, the women will receive 10 installments of Rs 5,000 each, adding up to Rs 50,000 over five years.
