Bengaluru: Three jail inmates who bonded together during their stay at Parappana Agrahara Central Prison formed a gang upon being released on bail to commit burglary in Bengaluru.
Police confiscated 1.1 kg of gold, 1.9 kg of silver articles and a bike valued worth Rs 55 lakh from the possession of the arrested, identified as Karate Seena a.k.a Srinivas, Kokkare Satish and Tejas, all residents of north Bengaluru.
The trio used to identify houses near under-construction buildings and strike at them later in the night.
Police said that the accused Seena was arrested by Hebbagodi police for thefts, while Satish was arrested by Yeshwanthpur police for burglary and another accused Tejas was nabbed on kidnapping charges and were lodged in Central Prison where they then became friends.
