Private hospital makes actress Sudharani wait outside gate; Minister warns officials

Bengaluru: Sandalwood actress Sudharani has claimed that the authorities of a private hospital in the city made her family wait at the gate saying that they don’t have beds to admit new patients.
It is gathered that Sudharani’s niece was who suffering from a Kidney stone had fainted on Monday night. When the actress took her to Apollo Hospital in Sheshadripuram, the hospital authorities said that they don’t have beds or ventilator for new admission and made them wait for 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Irked by this, Sudharani called City Police commissioner Bhasker Rao and informed this. Later, the hospital admitted her niece to the hospital.
Following the incident, Medical health education minister Dr. K Sudhakar tweeted, “Through media reports, I got to know how actress Sudharani was made to wait at the hospital gate and the Seshadripuram Apollo Hospital has delayed the treatment. Not just an actress even the common should not suffer such a problem. Our department will take disciplinary action against the hospital.”
