Priyanka-Nick share colourful Mehndi pictures

Jodhpur: Actress Priyanka Chopra and American singer Nick Jonas, who got married Saturday, shared their Mehendi ceremony pictures on social media with a heartfelt message about the coming together of two families, cultures and faiths.
In a closely guarded ceremony, Priyanka and Nick said ‘I do’ as per Catholic rituals at the Umaid Bhawan Palace here.
The couple will be tying the knot as per Hindu rituals on Sunday.
Sharing a series of pictures from Mehendi ceremony on their respective social media accounts the duo said planning the wedding which was a blend of two different cultures was an amazing experience for both of them.
“One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing.
“An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. Once again we made it our own and it was an afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed,” they wrote in the caption.
For her Mehendi ceremony, Priyanka wore a multi-hued organdy lehenga by designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla and Nick wore label’s aqua bakhiya kurta.
The bride completed her look with her hair worn in a soft bun decorated with roses.
All the guests, including Nick’s mother Denise and brother Joe’s fiancee, “Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner, opted for Indian attires for the function.
