Bengaluru: “The government would arrange a probe into the demise of Shiroor Math seer Lakshmivara Theertha Swami if required,” said Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Thursday July 19.

“A few people are naming it to be a suspicious death. If required, an enquiry will be requested,” he advised correspondents who tried to know whether the government will arrange a probe.

In the interim, Deputy Chief Minister and home minister Dr G Parameshwara too said that he will arrange a probe into the demise. “I was shocked to hear the news of his death. People are bringing up issues over his sudden death. We will order a probe into the matter,” he said.
