Udupi: The investigation into the Nejar quadruple murder case has reached a crucial stage. The police have completed their inquiry, and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report is now in their possession. Sources indicate that the charge sheet might be submitted to the court within a week.
The accused, Praveen Chowgale, continues to be in judicial custody, with an extension granted until February 8. As a significant development, the state government has appointed Mangaluru-based advocate Shivaprasad Alva as the special public prosecutor for the case.
Approaching the 90-day mark since the incident occurred on February 12, the legal process is accelerating. Police sources confirm that the charge sheet preparation is progressing rapidly.
