Prohibitory orders around schools reimposed in Dakshina Kannada till March 5

Mangaluru: The district administration, on Saturday, has ordered the reimposition of the prohibitory orders around schools and colleges as a precautionary measure in Dakshina Kannada.

As per the latest order by the Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra KV, the Prohibitory orders under Sec 144 of CrPC will be applicable 200 meters around educational establishments will start from 6 AM on February 28 till 6 PM on March 5.

The order cited the non-resolution of the hijab dispute for the reimposition. The orders have come as the earlier extension of Sec 144 had ended at 6 PM on February 26.

Mangaluru Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar also issued similar orders for the schools and colleges in Mangaluru Commissionerate limits.
