Prohibitory orders in Kodagu from Nov 9-11

Kodagu:  In the wake of Tipu Jayanthi celebrations to be held on November 10, Deputy Commissioner PI Sreevidya has issued prohibitory orders, in order to maintain law and order, in Kodagu district from November 9 to November 11.

Police personnel from different parts of the state have already been deployed at sensitive places around the district. CCTV cameras also have been installed in sensitive places.

Tipu Jayanthi programme will be held in Old Fort hall by the district administration on Saturday, November 10. The district administration warned of strict actions against those who disturb peace. 

Ban on alcohol sale

Sale of all types of alcohol at liquor shops, bars, restaurants, clubs and hotels, across the Kodagu District has been banned from  November 8 midnight till 8 pm of November 11 as per orders issued by DC PI Sreevidya.
