Prostitution racket busted in Matadakani, pimp arrested

Mangaluru: The city crime branch (CCB) on Monday, November 19, arrested a pimp involved in a prostitution racket following a raid at a rented house in Matadakani.

Based on credible information about flesh trade being carried out at the premises, the CCB police raided the spot and arrested Megharaj, 26, a resident of Daddalakadu, Derebail, Kuntikan. The police confiscated two mobile phones, a laptop, Rs 6,000 cash, two bikes and an auto-rickshaw, valuing around Rs 1,71,000 found in his possession. It is gathered that Megharaj was running the prostitution racket in connivance with his friends. 

Barke police have registered a case and investigation is ongoing.
