Donkey Parade: Angry Ola customer ties e-scooter to donkey after company ‘ignores complaints’

In recent days, electric vehicles and fire have become synonymous. Ola had withdrawn roughly 1400 of its electric scooters from the market after receiving many complaints regarding fires in electric vehicles. Another Ola electric user recently held a protest in reaction to the company’s failure to respond to his persistent complaints.
Sachin Gitte is a Maharashtra resident from the Beed district. Gitte alleges that his Ola scooter broke down only six days after he bought it. He claimed that he had already complained to the corporation about the failure, but that he had received no answer.
This infuriated the Maharashtra trader, who decided to protest by tying his Ola motorcycle to a donkey.
Gitte decided to attach his two-wheeler to a donkey and ride it around town with banners telling people not to buy anything from the unreliable manufacturer, frustrated by the company’s sheer incompetence.
Gitte ordered his electric scooter in September 2021 and received it on March 24 of the following year. The electric scooter broke down within six days of delivery, so Gitte contacted the company to propose a solution. A corporate mechanic was dispatched to investigate the problem, but he was unable to remedy it.
Unable to find a solution, Gitte frequently called the company’s customer service but received no useful response, so he decided to protest by riding his donkey.
The local news outlet LetsUpp Marathi recently broadcast footage from Gitte’s protest. The town of Parli has been sparked with diverse opinions from various people since the day of this extraordinary demonstration.
“There is no financial protection for consumers from Ola company, which deals in thousands of crores of rupees,” encouraging others to avoid investing in Ola’s products.
Many users on the Instagram video have tagged Ola in the hopes of receiving a responsible reply. While many individuals are skeptical of electric vehicles, others blame the corporation for taking so long to respond to Gitte’s repeated demands.
