Protests held at Hebbal in Bengaluru urging State Govt to implement Steel Flyover Project

Bengaluru: North Bangalore Residents’ Forum organised protests near Esteem Mall located in Hebbal of Bengaluru on Sunday opposing state government’s recent decision to cancel steel flyover bridge covering Chalukya circle – Mekhri circle – Esteem Mall, Hebbal. The protests urged the government to implement the project as the steel flyover could ease their travel woes.
More than 8,000 participants including residents North Bengaluru, college students, taxi drivers were took part in the protests. The protesters have decided to plant 5, 000 sapling in the coming days as a part of their protests and to compensate for the trees that would be cut down to implement the steel flyover project.
