Kalaburagi: R D Patil, the prime accused in the PSI recruitment scam, has released a video from an undisclosed location after he escaped from his house on Thursday night.
His video message that he is ready to contest the 2023 Assembly Elections if people wish so, has created a stir not only in the Afzalpur assembly constituency. The video has since gone viral.
In the video, Rudregowda Patil (aka R D Patil) is seen saying, “I and my brother Mahantesh Patil have been implicated in the PSI recruitment case in a political conspiracy. Some CID officers have acted as puppets in the hands of political leaders. They have hatched a conspiracy to finish me off completely. If the people of Afzalpur want, I will contest the upcoming 2023 Assembly elections.”
R D Patil was released on conditional bail from a court recently. He had also received three notices from the CID for giving the wrong address to the court. CID officials were on the lookout for him as a case was registered in Tumakuru recently in connection with the examination procedure.
Patil escaped from his residence before CID officials raided his house on Thursday after receiving information that R D Patil was present during a search at his house by the Enforcement Directorate officials.
The viral video, released from an undisclosed location, has now led to a heated debate.
