PSI recruitment fraud: 12 police personnel suspended for dereliction of duty

Kalaburagi: As many as 12 police personnel have been suspended, on Saturday, for failing to detect, prevent and report irregularities in the PSI recruitment exam.
The policemen, DySP Mallikarjun Sali and CPI Anand Metre, who were arrested for their involvement in the scam have been suspended.
Similarly, the Kalaburagi Commissioner of Police has issued orders suspending 10 others for dereliction of duty. The suspension order cited the failure to prevent irregularities at the Gyan Jyothi English Medium School and MSI Degree College as the prime reason.
PSIs Srishailamma, Najma Sultan, ASIs Shashi Kumar and Latha, head constables Jai Bheema, Parubai, Sharanabasappa, Damodar, and police constables Pradeep and Rajshree have been suspended.
With this, a total of 16 police personnel, including DySP Hosamani and Inspector Dilip Sagar, have been suspended.
