PSI recruitment fraud: Prime accused Divya Hagaragi arrested

Kalaburagi: Divya Hagaragi, one of the prime accused in the PSI recruitment fraud case, has finally been arrested by the CID sleuths on Friday.
Divya, a local BJP leader, had been on the run for the past 18 days. It is alleged that some of the aspirants who appeared at the Gyan Jyothi English Medium School run by Divya, had cheated in the recruitment exam with the help of some of the school’s authorities.
As per sources, Divya was arrested from her hiding hole in Pune in neighboring Maharasthra in the early hours of April 29.
As per sources, five others – including Solapur-based businessman Suresh who sheltered Divya, Headmaster of the school Kashinath, exam invigilators Archana and Sunanda, and an aspirant Shantabai – were also arrested. With this, the total arrested reached 23.
A few days ago, the Kalaburagi Third JMFC court issued an arrest warrant against her and the other accused after they remained untraceable.
