PSI recruitment fraud: Special Public Prosecutor to be appointed, says Araga Jnanendra

Kalaburagi: The state government will take strict action against the culprits involved in the PSI recruitment scam, said home minister Araga Jnanendra on Friday.
The home minister said that a special public prosecutor will be appointed soon to bring those involved to justice. No one will be spared, he added.
He was speaking on the occasion of the passing out ceremony of the trainee constables of the Karnataka Special Reserve Police (KSRP) at the training center in Taj Sultanapur here on Friday.
In the past, there were several irregularities detected in recruitments, but they were not investigated. However, it is not the same anymore, he said and added that the government has quickly ordered an inquiry and will bring anyone involved to justice.
Highlighting that Rs 200 crores have been released for upgrading police stations in the state, the home minister said that the government is committed to strengthening the police department.
The minister also announced that 400 additional cybercrime experts will be recruited to strengthen the cyber-investigation capabilities of the police.
