‎Bengaluru: CID sleuths arrested DySP Shanthakumar for his involvement in the PSI recruitment fraud.

He was taken into custody after being interrogated for hours on Thursday.

Shanthakumar had been serving in the recruitment department of the police for the past 10 years. The state government had transferred him after his name surfaced in the PSI recruitment scam.

Shantakumar is said to be the main kingpin of the case.‎

The police officer had joined the Karnataka police as a constable in 1996. Now, questions are being raised about how he rose to the rank of DySP so quickly and spent 10 years in just the recruitment department.

‎Sources claimed that ADGP (recruitment) Amrit Paul is also in trouble and is also likely to be arrested.‎
