Bengaluru: JD(S) supremo and former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy made some serious allegations about the PSI recruitment scam.

Talking to press reporters on Wednesday, Kumaraswamy said that the information he received is quite different from the popular narrative. The scam came to light, not because of the state government’s actions, but due to the actions of officers within the police department, he alleged.

He alleged that some officers were unhappy with the way BJP leaders ill-treated “honest officer like Bengaluru City police commissioner Kamal Pant in the Chandru murder case.” To show the real character of the government, some officers revealed the scam, he claimed.

He also claimed that a BJP leader had close links with the scam’s kingpin RD Patil, however, he did not name the leader.

Not all aspirants have cheated in the exam, he said, and added that those who honestly wrote the exam shouldn’t face hardships.
