PSI recruitment scam ‘kingpin’ surrenders before CID officials

Kalaburagi: The alleged kingpin of a PSI recruitment scam surrendered before the CID officials on Sunday, May 1.
The accused Manjunath Melakundi, Assistant Engineer at the Irrigation department was absconding for the past 21 days.
On Sunday, Manjunath arrived at the CID office in an auto-rickshaw and surrendered before the officials. “I wasn’t keeping well and was undergoing treatment at Mangaluru,” he said.
Another accused Kashinath, the principal of Jnana jyothi school is still absconding.
