Kalaburagi: Congress leader and former Minister Priyank Kharge released an audio tape related to PSI recruitment scam on Saturday, April 23.
In the audio, two men are purportedly heard talking about illegally being recruited for the post of PSI.
The Congress leader alleged that the PSI test was held in October under the supervision of ADGP who is accused of protecting the offender.
Kharge demanded Home Minister Araga Jnanendra’s resignation and also said that the ADGP should be transferred to another department or sent on leave until the investigation is completed.
After the audio was released Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai assured that irregularities in recruitment of PSIs of any batch would be investigated and guilty would be punished.
He further added that the audio released by Priyank Kharge too would be subjected to probe.
“Investigation would consider any material that is related to the case. It contains a conversation between two persons. Who are they? What is their credibility? All these things would be known when investigated and the guilty would be punished irrespective of the batch,” he said.
