PSI scam: No new recruitment until investigation completes, says Home Minister Parameshwara

Tumakuru: No new recruitment of PSI’s will be done until the investigation into the PSI recruitment scam is completed, said Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara.

Talking to reporters here on Monday, Parameshwara said that the PSI scam has troubled many people. “Recruitment has also stopped. If everything had gone well, 545 PSIs should have been recruited. The home department has additionally submitted a proposal for the recruitment of 400 PSIs. The recruitment of nearly 1000 PSIs will be done together,” he said.

He further assured the aspirants not to worry. “We are committed to resolving the matter as soon as possible,” he added.
