Pssngr specific details of those arriving on May 18 repatriation flight not yet recd: DK DC

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh on Friday, May 18 informed that specific passenger details of those arriving on May 18 repatriation flight has not yet been received by the district administration.

A total of 171 passengers are expected to arrive in the flight. Passenger specific details such as number of pregnant women, children, elderly have not yet been received, she said.

It may be recalled that there were allegations of improper handling of passengers who arrived in the first repatriation flight here on May 12. The state government has also given relaxations from institutional quarntine to pregnant women, children, elderly and terminally persons.

On the issue of the Covid positive cases reported today, the DC said that though all necessary precautions were taken, fifteen returnees have tested positive.
