Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Youth JD(S) president Akshith Suvarna slammed vigilante groups for disrupting a party conducted by college students at a pub in the city Monday night.

Talking to media persons on Tuesday Suvarna said that such moral policing incidents are bringing disrepute to the district as well as affecting business investments in the region.

Further, he questioned the authority of these groups to forcibly stop the party stating that these students are answerable to their parents. “Is there anything wrong in partying with friends? Who has given authority to these organizations?,” Suvarna questioned.

He urged the police department to register a suo motu case against the accused and take stringent action.
