Bengaluru: Vidwath, who was under treatment in Mallya Hospital after he was brutally attacked by Shanathinagara MLA NA Harris’s son Mohammed Nalapad and his associates, was discharged from the hospital on March 4.

Vidwath, a MBA graduate from Singapore is the son of entrepreneur Lokanathan.  On the night of February 17, Vidwath was gruesomely beaten by eight persons including Mohammed Nalapad, Abhishek and Arun Babu at Fazi Cafe of Bengaluru’s UB city. He was immediately taken to Mallya Hospital but Mohammad Nalapad and his friends followed him to the hospital and beat him up there. Vidwath was kept in the intensive care unit of the hospital till February 24 as his injuries were severe. He was then shifted to the ward thereafter.

The hospital had announced the discharge on Februray 27 but Vidwath’s parents requested the hospital to continue his treatment for further more days. They said that they chose to keep Vidwath in the hospital as taking him home would have resulted in increased visits by friends, relatives and well-wishers, as he needed rest badly.  Vidwath was discharged on March 3 but he had to wait till the next day to complete all the insurance and billing formalities.

Vidwath was sent home on March 4 at around 12:45 am. It is said that Vidwath will take rest for some days and then go to Kerala for ayurvedic treatment
