Public must help police in maintaining law & order: IGP Praveen Sood

Mangaluru: Director General & Inspector General of Police Praveen Sood on Monday said that the public must help police officials maintain law and order in the district.
Speaking to the reporters in Mangaluru Sood said, “The current restrictions have been extended in the Dakshina Kannada district and I request the public to cooperate. Also, the citizens who have case related information must come forward and help the police solve the case. If not, they too will be considered as an accused in the case.”
He further said, ” Eight accused have been arrested in connection with the Masood murder case. Two accused of the Praveen murder case have also been arrested and investigations are underway. In the Fazil murder case, the owner of the car used in the crime has been arrested. All three cases will soon be solved. Strict action will be taken against the accused, irrespective of his ideology, political connections, and organizational activities. No one will be spared”
“We have held discussions with the Mangaluru police commissioner and SP to prevent any untoward incidents from taking place. Considering the prevailing situation, I have also requested the Chief Minister to strengthen the police force in the Dakshina Kannada district, he added.
