Puneeth Parva: Host of dignitaries, actors likely to attend event

The countdown, for Puneeth Rajkumar’s film “Gandhada Gudi”, which is slated for release on October 28, has begun and fans, and well-wishers are enthusiastic to see the late superstar on the big screen again.
The movie is being released a day ahead of Puneeth’s first death anniversary i.e on October 29. To mark this occasion, a pre-release event known as ‘Puneeth Parva’ will be held at Bengaluru’s Palace Grounds on October 21 evening.
The event will be a star-studded affair with Puneeth’s family members, well-wishers, political dignitaries, and fellow Kannada actors, including those from Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam film industry expected to graze the occasion.
Puneeth’s wife Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar and his family members have taken the responsibility of organising the ‘Puneeth Parva’.
The week-long event will also witness several programs organised in memory of the late actor. As many as 75 cutouts of the actor will be erected near Puneeth Rajkumar’s memorial at Kantheerava Studio on October 26. The next day, fans can offer floral tributes to these cutouts and plans are afoot to light up the memorial for a 1 km area.
On 28th, the day of the movie’s release Puneeth’s fans are expected to celebrate in front of major cinema halls in Bengaluru, including at MG Road and Magadi Road. A ‘Dasoha’ is being organised for his fans on October 29 from 8 am- 6 pm near Puneeth’s memorial.
The posthumous felicitation of the actor will be held on November 1 with the state government conferring the “Karnataka Ratna” award to Puneeth on the occasion of the Kannada Rajyotsava.
Taking to Twitter, Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar shared the details of the ‘Puneeth Parva’ event and urged those attending to wear white clothes.
