Punjalkatte: Rs 10 lakh cash without documents seized from ATM van

Police officials on Monday intercepted an ATM van in which a person was carrying Rs 10 lakh cash without proper documents under Punjalkatte police station limits, Belthangady Taluk.
The money was found when the police were checking vehicles in Punjalkatte ahead of the Assembly elections. The cash and the van were seized by the police.
Last week, police intercepted a bike in which a man was transporting Rs 1 lakh cash in his bike near Guruwayanakere, Belthangady Taluk. The amount was seized and a complaint was filed. Later it was returned as appropriate documents were provided.
