Purapravesha: Eshapriya Theertha Swami gets rousing welcome

Udupi: Admar Mutt junior seer Eshapriya Theertha Swami, who is all set to ascend the Paryaya Peeta at Sri Krishna Math on January 18, received a rousing welcome on his return from pilgrimage here on Wednesday.
Devotees lined up the streets to welcome the seer during his Pura Pravesha. The procession began from Jodu Katte at 3 pm with the Swamiji choosing to walk behind the golden palanquin carrying the presiding deity of Admar Mutt, Kaliyamardana Krishna. The seer and the palanquin were preceded by a long procession of folk and cultural teams and several tableaux. Portraits of Lord Krishna, gods and goddesses were part of the procession.
He was also welcomed by Paryaya Palimar Mutt seer Sri Vidyadheesha Theertha Swami at the entrance of the Mutt.
The procession culminated at Car street where the seer obtained the darshan of Lord Krishna. The pontiff also visited the Sri Anantheshwara and Sri Chandramoulishwara temples. He prayed for the success of his two-year Paryaya, beginning January 18. He visited the Sri Krishna Mutt and offered special pujas to the presiding deity Lord Krishna and Lord Mukhyaprana.
Later, he entered the Admar Mutt along with the presiding deity.
