Puttur: Bakery owner killed in bike-truck collision

Puttur: In a shocking accident, a man was killed after a truck mowed down the bike he was riding on October 10.

The victim has been identified as Azeez from Balnadu Pallikere,  the owner of  Golden Bakery in Puttur town.

Abdul Khader, a pedestrian who witnessed the accident, has filed a complaint with the police.

According to the complainant, Azeez was moving on his bike towards his shop. When he reached near Ullalti Complex at Balnadu at 8 AM,  a truck moving from Puttur towards Ujrupade rammed the bike. As a result, Azeez was knocked down and came under the wheels of the truck.

The victim was rushed to the Puttur government hospital where the doctors confirmed his death.

The truck driver was identified as Sudhakara Shetty. It is alleged that the truck was being driven rashly.

A case has been registered at the Puttur police station.
