Puttur boy chosen for Rashtriya Bal Puraskar

Puttur: Rakesh Krishna from Bannur has been chosen for ‘Rashtriya Bal Puraskar’ award. On January 25, PM Modi interacted with Rakesh Krishna via video conference at the office of Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner.

Prime Minister also watched a video clip prepared by the district administration on the achievements of Rakesh.

Rakesh Krishna , son of Ravishankar Nekkila and Dr. Durgarathna, hailing from Bannur in Puttur. Rakesh is currently a first year PU student at Vivekananda PU College at Puttur. He also won gold medal in the national level “inspire award” organized by the central government. He was also chosen to participate in the international science programme held at Japan.

This session was held in the presence of DC Dr. Rajendra K V and the boy’s family shall also participate.
