Puttur: A complaint has been filed against 2 individuals for allegedly brandishing a pistol and threatening bank staff over loan recovery.

The accused, Akhilesh and Krishna Kishore, are being investigated under the Arms Act by the Puttur Rural Police.

As per the complaint by Chaitanya H.C., a Relationship Manager from State Bank of India’s Puttur branch, Akhilesh had taken a business loan of Rs 2 crore. Despite repeated notices and legal action, the loan was not repaid, and it became a Non-Performing Asset (NPA).

When the bank staff, Akash Chandrababu and Divyashree, visited Akhilesh’s residence for recovery, they were detained, and later, Krishna Kishore arrived and allegedly threatened them with a pistol, saying he would shoot them.

The incident has been reported to the police, and a case has been registered.
