Puttur: In a tragic incident a 22-year-old youth committed suicide at Konaje village of Uppinangady.
The deceased is Kiran, son of Gangadhar Gowda. He was working for a motorbike showroom at Kadaba.
Kiran’s father informed the police that he had hanged himself from a tree.
It is gathered that Kiran was undergoing bouts of depression since some time had earlier also consumed poison in an attempt to kill himself.
A case in this regard has been registered in the Uppinangady police station.
