Puttur: DK district’s only Amar Jawan Jyoti damaged by unknown miscreants

Puttur: The Amar Jawan Jyoti (Flame of the Immortal Soldier) at the Kille Maidan here was reported to have been damaged on July 6.

The Jyothi was built in 2017 in memory of Indian armed forces’ martyrs by Ambika Vidyalaya under the Natttoja Foundation Charitable Trust.

The incident came to light on Tuesday morning when Ambika Vidyalaya’s manager, Ravindra, went to clean the monument.

A complaint has been lodged at the Puttur police station.
